Gov. Newsom sues Trump admin over federalization of California National Guard

California Governor Gavin Newsom announced that the state is suing the Trump administration due to President Donald Trump federalizing the state’s National Guard — in response to the violent riots taking place in Los Angeles.

U.S. Northern Command: 700 Marines deployed to L.A. riots

U.S. Northern Command has announced that hundreds of U.S. Marines with 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines, 1st Marine Division will work with the roughly 2,100 National Guard troops on the ground to protect federal property and personnel in Los Angeles.

National Guard deployed to Los Angeles amidst waves of violent riots leading to numerous arrests

President Donald Trump sent in at least 2,000 members of the National Guard to stomp out violent anti U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) rioters in Los Angeles on Saturday evening, leading to numerous arrests.
