Albertsons Scraps Merger, Files Lawsuit Against Kroger

A U.S. district judge in Oregon has blocked a $25 billion bid by supermarket giant Kroger to take over its rival Albertsons, ruling that the Federal Trade Commission’s concerns about the merger’s impact on market consolidation were valid.

US finalizes $7.86 billion chips manufacturing award for Intel

The Commerce Department said it was finalizing a $7.86 billion government subsidy for Intel after the California-based chips maker won a separate $3 billion award from the Pentagon.

Boeing To Lay Off Over 2K Workers As Part Of Plans To Reduce Workforce By 10%

Aerospace giant Boeing will lay off over 200 workers that are based in South Carolina as part of a large-scale cost-cutting drive that will cut 17,000 employees, which equals 10% of its workforce.
