California Governor Gavin Newsom recently attempted to deflect blame for the Los Angeles wildfires currently ravaging the city, shifting blame to local leaders while taking shots at President-elect Donald Trump.

Gov. Newsom Orders Independent Investigation Into Fire Hydrant Failures Amidst GOP Criticism

California Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom announced on Friday that he directed state water and firefighting officials to undergo an independent investigation into the loss of water pressure to fire hydrants during the destructive series of wildfires in Los Angeles County this week.

Hawaii: At Least 2 Dead, 22 Injured In Fireworks Related Incident On New Year’s Day

A fireworks-related incident on New Year’s Day claimed the lives of at least two people, in addition to injuring 22 in Hawaii, according to the Honolulu Police Department.
