Former state delegate Jay Jones, the Democrat candidate, has defeated GOP incumbent Attorney General Jason Miyares in the race for Virginia’s top legal office.

California voters have passed Proposition (Prop) 50, the mid-decade redistricting measure.

After a high-stakes governor’s race in New Jersey, Democrat Mikie Sherrill has defeated Republican candidate Jack Ciattarelli.
