South Korea calls for ‘appropriate measures’ after Pentagon documents are leaked

A senior South Korean government official has said at a briefing that he will request the United States to take “appropriate measures” after completing an investigation into Pentagon documents that were stolen from U.S. intelligence.

More U.S. lawmakers arrive in Taiwan

Thursday saw the arrival of a bipartisan congressional delegation to Taiwan, one day after House Speaker Kevin McCarthy defied China by meeting with the president of the island. This comes as China claims Taiwan is its territory.

Finland to become 31st member of NATO

Turkey’s parliament approved Finland’s NATO application on Thursday, making it the 31st nation in the Western defense alliance.
