Illinois Senator Dick Durbin, the Democrat Whip and Ranking Member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, has announced that he will not seek re-election in 2026.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has selected Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted to serve as Ohio’s next United States senator. Husted will replace JD Vance, who is stepping down as he assumes the role of Vice President-elect.

Rep. Adam Schiff’s Luggage Stolen In San Francisco

Several surfacing reports stated that on Thursday, while California Democrat representative Adam Schiff’s vehicle was parked in a downtown San Francisco parking garage, his luggage was stolen in a “smash and grab.”
