A federal judge temporarily blocked the Trump administration from deploying National Guard troops to Portland, Oregon, calling the 47th president’s request for additional troops an attempt to sidestep a previous court order.

Chicago mayor introduces ‘ICE-free zones’ on city-owned property, says Trump admin ‘wants a rematch of the civil war’

Chicago Democrat Mayor Brandon Johnson signed an executive order on Monday, creating what he described as “ICE-free zones,” in response to the federal immigration raids being conducted in the city.

President Donald Trump authorized the deployment of 300 National Guard troops to Chicago to protect federal officers and property amid waves of “ongoing violent riots and lawlessness” in response to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity.

ICE agents shoot armed ‘domestic terrorist’ in Chicago after being rammed and ‘boxed in by 10 cars’
