New York City Mayor Eric Adams has stated that authorities are getting close to catching the masked gunman who killed UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

A Boston city councilor was arrested by FBI agents following an indictment alleging her involvement in a scheme which reportedly secured her thousands of dollars in cash from a staffer in return for granting a substantial bonus.

The CEO of UnitedHealthcare was gunned down Wednesday morning outside the Hilton hotel in midtown Manhattan in what police say was a targeted attack.
