Senate blocks Stopgap Bill, pushing U.S. toward imminent Govt. shutdown

The Senate failed to pass a stopgap measure in a 55-45 vote, pushing the country toward its first government shutdown in nearly seven years — as funding expires at midnight.

Louisiana GOP Governor Jeff Landry formally requested the deployment of up to 1,000 National Guard troops throughout the state on Monday, citing ongoing violent crime and law enforcement personnel shortages in the Pelican State.

In what appeared to be a bizarre and unhinged racist rant, left-wing podcast host Don Lemon labeled White men as the “real issue” behind violence in the United States, describing them as “broken” and suggesting that the majority resort to violence as a solution to combat their inferiority.

Trump’s HHS doubles funding for childhood cancer data initiative, accelerating research and treatment

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has announced a major increase in funding for the Childhood Cancer Data Initiative (CCDI) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), effectively doubling its financial support.
