President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that the United States reached a trade agreement with the European Union following a meeting with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on Sunday.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen is scheduled to meet with President Donald Trump on Sunday in an attempt to secure a trade deal for the European Union before a 30% blanket tariff on EU imports takes effect.

President Donald Trump has announced that a 30% tariff will be applied to imports from both Mexico and the European Union beginning August 1st.
