US job openings increase in January; layoffs decline

Job openings, a measure of labor demand, rose 232,000 to 7.740 million on the last day of January, the Labor Department’s Bureau of Labor Statistics said in its Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey.

Biden Administration Announces Additional Tariffs On Chinese Imports

The Biden administration unveiled a new round of tariffs on $18 billion of Chinese imports. The White House said the tariff increases will protect American workers and businesses in response to China’s unfair trade practices.
