Prominent entertainment news tabloid TMZ is facing backlash for its potentially distasteful reaction to the death of Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk.

Utah Gov. Cox refers to Kirk’s death as a ‘political assassination,’ reiterates ‘Person of interest’ is in custody

Utah Governor Spencer Cox condemned the assassination of Charlie Kirk as a brazen “political assassination,” which underscores the gravity of violence targeting public figures during events meant for open discourse. The governor also reiterated that a person of interest is now in custody.

Utah Valley University backtracks: No suspect in custody following Charlie Kirk shooting

Authorities in Orem, Utah, have now stated that there is no suspect in custody following the shooting of Charlie Kirk on the Utah Valley University campus.
