North Carolina Governor vetoes 12-week abortion ban

North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper vetoed a bill which would ban abortion after the first trimester on Saturday.

Manhunt in Virginia and North Carolina for two jail escapees

Two men who escaped from jail are being sought out by federal and state authorities in Virginia and North Carolina.

North Carolina state legislator switches parties

State representative Tricia Cotham from North Carolina announced on Wednesday that she has switched from the Democratic party to the Republican party.
