U.S. cancels charter flights to Cuba with exception of Havana

The U.S. is sharply reducing flights allowed to Cuba in an effort to reduce revenue to the communist government. On Friday, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced a cancellation of all charter flights to Cuba with the exception of capital city Havana. This comes after the U.S. terminated commercial flights to Cuba late last year.


Funeral held for Oman’s Sultan Qaboos

Funeral services are being held for one of the world’s longest ruling Arab leaders. Mourners gathered and prayers were said on Saturday for Sultan Qaboos bin Said of Oman, who died at age 79 on Friday.



Trump admin. authorizes new sanctions on Iran

The Trump administration is rolling out new sanctions on the Iranian regime. While speaking at the White House Friday, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said the Trump administration will continue to cut off resources to Iran to stop its global terrorist activities.
