New Jersey: Teachers Can Now Be Certified Without Passing Basic Reading, Writing, Math Testing

A New Jersey law that removes a requirement for teachers to pass a reading, writing and mathematics test for certification went into effect on January 1, 2025.

Harry Chandler, Pearl Harbor Hero And Navy Medic, Passes Away At 103

Harry Chandler, a former Navy medic who helped save injured sailors by pulling them from the oil-filled waters of Pearl Harbor after the 1941 Japanese attack on the naval base, has died at the age of 103.

US EPA approves California plan to ban gas-only cars starting in 2035

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency said on Wednesday it has approved California’s landmark plan to end the sale of gasoline-only vehicles by 2035.

CDC: Cucumber Recall Issued In 26 States Due To Salmonella Outbreak

Almost 70 people have fallen ill and 18 have been hospitalized as a result of a salmonella outbreak linked to whole fresh cucumbers sold in 26 U.S. states and some parts of Canada.
