Crime Prevention Research Center: D.C. murder rate over 50% higher than highest of 20 most populous U.S. cities

Washington, D.C.’s crime rate, including homicides and robberies, surpasses those of many U.S. cites and states, according to data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

A federal Judge temporarily blocked a new Texas law requiring public schools to display the Bible’s Ten Commandments in every classroom.
