Schumer Unanimously Re-Elected As Senate Democrat Leader, Despite Party Losing Control Of Upper Chamber

Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer was unanimously re-elected to serve another two years as the Senate leader on Tuesday, even though the Democrats officially lost control of the upper chamber in January.

Belgium Introduces Historic Law Granting Sex Workers Maternity Pay And Pensions

Sex workers in Belgium will now receive a pension, maternity pay, health insurance and other employment benefits in a first-ever law that went into effect on Sunday.

Australia Passes Law That Bans Children Under 16 From Social Media

Australian lawmakers have approved a ban on social media for children under the age of 16-years-old.

Republican Nancy Mace revealed a resolution on Monday that would ban transgender women from using female bathrooms inside the capitol, causing immediate criticism from Democrat rep-elect Sarah McBride, who in turn will be the first openly transgender member of Congress.
