Tyler Robinson requests to appear in civilian clothing, without shackles, at all future court appearances

Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old accused of assassinating conservative activist Charlie Kirk during an event at Utah Valley University, appeared in court on Friday for a closed-door hearing to discuss his request to wear civilian clothing and avoid visible shackles during future court appearances.

N.C. lawmakers work to eliminate cashless bail with ‘Iryna’s law,’ following gruesome train stabbing caught on camera

Following the fatal stabbing of 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska on a Charlotte light rail train last month, North Carolina lawmakers have approved legislation aimed at ending cashless bail for violent offenses — citing the need to strengthen public safety and prevent similar incidents in the future.
