UK, Canada, Australia formally recognize Palestine as a state

The United Kingdom, Canada and Australia have officially announced their formal recognition of the state of Palestine.

Australia to recognize Palestinian state at UN General Assembly, joining other countries

On Monday, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced that Australia will officially recognize a Palestinian state in September, joining a growing number of foreign nations opposing Israel’s military response to the abducted hostages being held in Gaza by Hamas.

Israel announces ‘suspension of military activities’ in parts of Gaza to allow in ‘minimal’ humanitarian aid
