Federal judge orders DHS to release over 300 Illinois ICE detainees

A federal judge has ordered the release of over 300 detainees from “Operation Midway Blitz” carried out by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Fifty days after winning her district’s special election, Adelita Grijalva was sworn into Congress, filling a seat in the United States House of Representatives previously held by her late father.

President Donald Trump announced a dramatic drop in crime since the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) launched “Operation Midway Blitz,” a crackdown on illegal immigrants protected under Illinois’ sanctuary status.
