IDF Confirms Striking Beirut, Targeting Hezbollah Commander Behind Attack Killing 12 Children

Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed on Tuesday that it struck the Lebanese capital of Beirut, targeting the Hezbollah commander behind the deadly attack that killed 12 children over the weekend.

The IDF and Shin Bet said on Sunday that three hostages who were freed on Saturday from Nuseirat in the Gaza Strip—Almog Meir Jan, Andrey Kozlov, and Shlomi Ziv—were purportedly being held captive at the home of Al-Jazeera and Palestine Chronicle “journalist” Abdallah Aljamal.
