Several major U.S. airports have refused to air a video from Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem that criticizes congressional Democrats for the ongoing government shutdown — amid its impact on TSA operations.

House Minority Leader Jeffries agrees to public debate with Speaker Johnson on govt shutdown

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries has officially accepted GOP House Speaker Mike Johnson’s invitation to hold a public debate — as the government shutdown enters its third week.

Speaker Johnson: Congress is ‘barreling toward one of the longest shutdowns in American history’

GOP House Speaker Mike Johnson suggested that the government shutdown may become the longest in U.S. history — unless Senate Democrats finally agree to pass a “clean, no-strings-attached” Republican spending bill to reopen the government.

Senate fails to pass funding bills to end shutdown — again

For the second time in 24 hours, Senate Democrats blocked a House-passed stopgap spending bill that would have funded the government and ended the ongoing shutdown.
