Senate advances $40B Ukraine aid package

The House of Representatives moved forward a $40 billion Ukraine military aid package. The lower chamber passed the legislation in a 368-to-57 vote on Tuesday, just hours after the bill’s official text was released. All 57 opponents of the spending spree were Republicans.

House approves halting trade relations with Russia, Belarus

The House of Representatives passed a bill suspending regular trade relations with Russia for it’s invasion of Ukraine. In a 424-to-eight vote on Thursday, House lawmakers voted in support of removing permanent normal trade relations status with Russia and Belarus to inflict economic pain on Russia.
