Georgia: Officer shot, gunman dead following shooting near CDC Global HQ

The Atlanta Police Department has reported that a gunman is now dead following a shooting near the Emory University Campus in Georgia, which left a police officer in critical condition.

Secretary of the U.S. Army Dan Driscoll commended the extraordinary valor and decisive response demonstrated by six soldiers who courageously confronted and subdued an active mass shooter at Fort Stewart on Wednesday.

Brigadier General: Suspect identified in Fort Stewart shooting is an active duty sergeant

U.S. Army Sergeant Quornelius Radford has been identified as the suspect in the shooting incident at Fort Stewart, Georgia, on Wednesday, in which he purportedly discharged his weapon — injuring five soldiers.
