Woman rescued by Florida man after car crashes into pool

A woman in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, was rescued after being trapped and almost drowning when she drove through a fence and fully submerged her vehicle into a pool.

DeSantis allegedly gave $92M in COVID-19 relief funds to project benefitting his top donor

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ administration allegedly gave $92 million last year in leftover funds from federal COVID-19 stimulus money to fund a highway interchange project that directly benefitted one of his top political donors, according to state records.

Parkland shooting: School security officer Scot Peterson found NOT GUILTY

On Thursday, a former school security officer was found not guilty of failing to approach the shooter who killed 17 individuals at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, in 2018.

DeSantis files motion to dismiss Disney lawsuit, claiming immunity

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis asked a federal judge on Monday to dismiss the lawsuit that was filed against him by Walt Disney Co. in their battle over the company’s special tax status in the state of Florida.
