President Donald Trump announced that the United States will begin imposing blanket reciprocal tariffs on imports from numerous countries who have “significant trade deficits” with the United States, unless they choose to produce within the U.S.

Senate votes to advance Trump’s ‘Big, Beautiful Bill’ by narrow majority

President Donald Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” passed a key Senate vote on Saturday to advance deliberations before finalizing amendments and sending it back to the House.

Iran Parliament backs measure to close off the Strait of Hormuz

Iran’s parliament backed a measure on Sunday to close the Strait of Hormuz, a key maritime passage that accounted for 20 percent of global petroleum liquid consumption in 2024.This comes after the United States carried out targeted attacks on key nuclear facilities Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan to decimate Iran’s nuclear capabilities.
