At least 5 dead, more than 640,000 without power due to southern U.S. storms

Five people were killed and more than 640,000 customers were without power across the South on Sunday afternoon as storms and catastrophic weather continued to whip across the region, according to the tracking website PowerOutage.us.

Illinois ‘Juneteenth’ party shooting: 1 dead, 22 injured

At least 22 people were hurt and one person was killed by gunshots overnight in Illinois during a Juneteenth party and celebration that turned fatal, according to authorities.
