State Dept. to roll out program requiring certain foreigners seeking business or tourism visas to post refundable bond

The U.S. State Department is launching a nearly 12‑month pilot program beginning August 20th requiring some B‑1/B‑2 tourist and business visa applicants from select countries to post refundable bonds of $5,000, $10,000, or $15,000.

California Democrats are weighing a proposed redistricting plan that could significantly diminish Republican representation in the state’s congressional delegation, potentially eliminating up to five GOP-held seats. Second earthquake in days reported in New Jersey, parts of NYC

A small earthquake has rocked parts of New Jersey and New York City, making it the second quake felt in the region within days.

Gov. Abbott issues arrest warrants for Texas House Dems who fled state to block redistricting vote

Texas GOP Governor Greg Abbott announced on Monday that he has ordered state police to arrest all Democrat state lawmakers who fled the state to block a vote reshaping the congressional maps.
