Federal judge rules in favor of closing ‘Alligator Alcatraz’

A federal judge ruled the Florida immigration detention center in the Everglades, dubbed “Alligator Alcatraz,” must continue to shut down operations towards a complete closure in late October, despite objections from Florida and federal officials.
