Florida CFO Calls for Clemency After Trump Conviction

After former President Donald Trump’s historic conviction, the CFO for the state of Florida is calling for clemency. Clemency is the lessening of a punishment or forgiveness altogether. It’s typically granted by a government official, such as a governor or the president.

Consumer Confidence Report Breaks Losing Streak

The Consumer Confidence Report – out today – broke a three-month losing streak. It rose to 102 in May, up from 97.5 in April. Meanwhile, the “Expectations Index” also rose slightly to 74.6, up from 68.8 last month.

Consumer Sentiment Drops In May Survey, Reflecting Economic Concerns

Americans aren’t feeling particularly optimistic about their personal economic situation, according to the University of Michigan’s monthly survey released today.
