Texas Governor Greg Abbott has declared a disaster declaration for 60 counties as wildfires continue to rapidly spread with winds gusting up to over 65 miles per hour.

L.A. County Council Urges Lawsuit Against Texas Governor Over Migrant Buses

Abbott appoints Angela Colmenero as new attorney general

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Angela Colmenero, a longtime aide, to serve as the state’s second acting attorney general, following the impeachment of Ken Paxton during his trial for alleged misconduct and crimes, according to the governor’s office.
