A Democrat congressman started a  “thirst strike” in protest of a Texas law that critics claim will override local mandates such as water breaks for people working in the heat.

Biden Erects Emmett Till And Mamie Till-Mobley National Monument 

On what would have been Emmett Till’s 82nd birthday, President Joe Biden signed a proclamation to erect and designate a national monument honoring the historical Black teen from Chicago who was murdered in 1955 after being falsely accused of whistling at a White woman.

UPS And Teamsters Union Reach Labor Deal, Avoiding More Strikes

On Tuesday, UPS and the Teamsters union, which represents approximately 340,000 workers at the package carrier, announced a tentative labor agreement that includes raises for both full-time and part-time employees avoiding a potential strike that was scheduled to begin next week.
