Trump: Ben Carson to receive Presidential Medal of Freedom

President Donald Trump announced this weekend that he will award Ben Carson, who served as the 17th United States secretary of housing and urban development (HUD), the Presidential Medal of Freedom — the nation’s highest civilian honor.

A magnitude 4.3 earthquake jolted the San Francisco Bay Area early on Monday, shaking some local residents awake.

Federal Reserve cuts interest rates, suggests more reductions to come

The Federal Reserve announced a quarter-point reduction in its key interest rate on Tuesday, lowering it to a range of 4.00% to 4.25%. This marks the first rate cut since December of last year.

Pennsylvania: 3 Officers fatally shot, 2 officers ‘in stable but critical condition’ after serving warrant

Five law enforcement officers were shot while serving a warrant in North Codorus Township, York County, Pennsylvania. As of 3:59 p.m. PT, three officers have succumbed to their injuries and two remain in stable but critical condition — according to local reports.
