La Fiscal General de los Estados Unidos, Pam Bondi, anunció que la ofensiva federal del presidente Donald Trump contra la delincuencia en Washington, D.C., resultó en más de 200 arrestos durante el fin de semana del Día del Trabajo.
Durante el fin de semana del Día del Trabajo, más de 200 arrestos resultaron en la incautación de aproximadamente 20 armas de fuego obtenidas ilegalmente, 70 de ellos tan solo el lunes por la noche.
En total, se han retirado de las calles 168 armas obtenidas ilegalmente y se han realizado 1669 arrestos desde la toma de posesión, declaró Bondi, y reiteró: “Nuestra misión es hacer que Washington D.C. vuelva a ser seguro”.
