U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee bars transgender athletes from women’s Olympic sports

The U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) is barring transgender athletes from competing in women’s sports, in line with an executive order issued by President Donald Trump.

President Donald Trump has threatened to halt federal funding for California if the state does not stop allowing transgender athletes to compete in women’s sports.

Trump Administration Pauses $175M In UPenn Funding Over Transgender Athlete Policy

The Trump administration announced that it’s freezing $175 million in taxpayer funding for the University of Pennsylvania for defying the president’s executive action and continuing to let transgender athletes compete in women’s sports.
