U.S. military reports aggressive maneuver from Chinese fighter jet

A Chinese fighter jet conducted an “unnecessarily aggressive maneuver” while intercepting an American surveillance plane over the South China Sea last week, U.S. military officials said in a statement.

Philippines names 4 new camps for U.S. forces

Despite strong opposition from China, the Philippine government has named four new military bases where rotating batches of American troops will be permitted to be stationed forever. These bases include some across the sea from Taiwan.
