Capitol Christmas tree ‘Silver Belle’ lights up the West Lawn in Washington, D.C.

Alongside members of the Nevada Congressional Delegation, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson lit up the Capitol Christmas tree, which arrived from Nevada, commencing the Christmas festivities in the nation’s capital.

175 Wildfires Across The Carolinas Trigger Evacuations

Firefighters across North and South Carolina battled more than 175 wildfires that erupted over the weekend in windy and dry conditions and forced residents to evacuate some neighborhoods.
