‘Restoring Medical Autonomy’: CMS reduces federal push and incentives for high vaccination rates in reporting

In an encouraging start to 2026, the Trump administration has delivered Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) policy changes that dial back federal pressure on vaccination rate tracking, reducing how much federal healthcare programs push and incentivize high vaccination rates among patients through quality tracking and reporting.

Trump admin. halts child care payments nationwide until states provide evidence of legitimate spending

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced that the Trump administration is freezing federal child care funding to every single U.S. state after introducing a freeze on Minnesota’s program — in response to ongoing allegations and evidence of widespread fraud.
