Former New York GOP Representative George Santos, who pleaded guilty to wire fraud and identity theft and now faces more than seven years in prison, said this week that he will be asking President Donald Trump for mercy.

House Republicans Approve Bill Requiring Proof Of Citizenship To Vote

For a second time, House Republicans have passed a bill that will require voters to have proof of citizenship in order to vote in federal elections. The previous attempt was blocked by the then-Democrat-led Senate.
