Clint Lorance, who is now serving a 20-year sentence at Fort Leavenworth in connection with the shooting deaths of two Taliban fighters. Brown, a retired Navy attorney, said the fighters were shot as they approached Lorance’s platoon’s position riding a single motorcycle. Brown said the prosecution has smeared Lorance unfairly and suppressed exculpatory evidence that would have cleared him. It is a situation that President Donald Trump can fix with a pardon.
A federal judge rules an accounting firm is required to turn over President Trump’s records from before he was president. The accounting firm now has seven-days to comply with the subpoena, but the president’s team is expected to appeal the ruling.
