26 charged in global ‘Point-Shaving’ scheme spanning NCAA and CBA

In a stunning development that has sent shockwaves throughout the sports world, federal prosecutors unsealed indictments charging 26 individuals in what authorities describe as a transnational criminal conspiracy to rig men’s basketball games.

Federal prosecutors charged 20 people on Thursday, including 15 former college basketball players, in what they called a betting scheme to rig NCAA and Chinese Basketball Association games.

SCOTUS likely to uphold state laws banning transgender athletes from women’s sports

The United States Supreme Court appeared receptive to state laws banning transgender-identifying biological males from playing in female sports while hearing arguments for two different court cases.

Two days after being abruptly fired as head football coach of the University of Michigan, Sherrone Moore has been charged with third-degree felony home invasion, stalking in a domestic relationship, and breaking and entering/illegal entry, the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office announced on Friday.

Sherrone Moore’s arraignment is scheduled after he was jailed and fired as Michigan’s football coach

Sherrone Moore is scheduled for arraignment Thursday afternoon, less than 24 hours after he was fired as Michigan’s football coach for what the university said was an inappropriate relationship with a staff member.
