Dozens Of U.S. States Sue Meta Over Youth Mental Health Crisis

Dozens of U.S. states have opened up a lawsuit against the Instagram-parent company Meta, formerly known as Facebook, claiming it is harming young people’s mental health by purposely designing “addictive” features on its platforms.

Meta’s Threads Platform Blocks ‘Potentially Sensitive’ Keywords From Searches

Threads, a new text-based social media platform created by Meta, formerly known as Facebook, has blocked keywords with “potentially sensitive” topics, including those related to COVID-19 vaccines.

Report: Facebook (Meta) Suppressed COVID-19 Info, Pressured By White House

According to internal communications that were leaked by an insider to The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), Facebook removed content related to COVID-19 due to pressure from the Biden administration.

Twitter has threatened to sue Meta over its new Threads app claiming that the platform has violated Twitter’s “intellectual property rights.”

Meta to launch new app to rival Twitter

Meta, the parent company to Facebook and Twitter, is set to launch a new “conversation app” called “Threads” on Thursday to compete with Twitter.
