Ohio: Patient Dies After Being ‘Infected With Rabies’ Following Organ Transplant

A Michigan resident died after undergoing an organ transplant in Ohio that was reportedly contaminated with the deadly rabies virus — being transmitted through the donated organ.

First Pig Kidney Transplant Patient Dies At 62

Doctors say the death of the first-ever patient to successfully receive a pig kidney transplant is not related to the operation. However, he died only two months after the surgery.
