Louisiana Mayor Misty Roberts Charged With Third-Degree Rape Of A Minor

Misty Roberts, who was the mayor of DeRidder, Louisiana, up until last week when she resigned, has been arrested and charged for third-degree rape, as well as contributing to the delinquency of juveniles.

Louisiana Faces Lawsuit Over Mandatory Display of Ten Commandments in Classrooms

Civil liberties groups have filed a lawsuit against Louisiana’s new law that requires the Ten Commandments to be displayed in every public school classroom.
