Minnesota Judge overturns $7.2M taxpayer-fraud conviction of Somali man, leaving jurors and state’s AG in disbelief

A Hennepin County judge appointed by Democrat Governor Tim Walz has overturned a jury’s guilty verdict against a Somali man convicted of orchestrating a $7.2 million Medicaid fraud scheme, prompting outrage from jurors, Republican lawmakers, and even some Democrats.

Minn. officials join community vigil paying respects to Annunciation Catholic School shooting victims

Following the tragic shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis on Wednesday, officials, local residents, and school staff gathered at a vigil to honor the young victims.

Minnesota Senator Tina Smith announced on Thursday that she will not seek re-election in 2026, which now opens the door for failed Vice Presidential candidate Tim Walz.
