U.S. set to open FIFA World Cup against Paraguay at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood

The U.S. men’s national team will kick off its 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign against Paraguay on June 12th at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood — a matchup confirmed during Friday’s official tournament draw at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.

Jimmy Cliff, reggae giant and star of landmark film ‘The Harder They Come,’ dead at 81

His family posted a message Monday on his social media sites that he died from a “seizure followed by pneumonia.”

Jamaican reggae star Jimmy Cliff passes at 81

Jimmy Cliff, born James Chambers, the trailblazing musician from Jamaica whose soulful voice and peace-themed lyrics propelled the genre from the island’s streets to international stardom, died on Sunday at 81-years-old.

Hurricane Melissa kills dozens in Haiti and Jamaica, strikes Cuba as it heads toward the Bahamas

As of Wednesday, Hurricane Melissa has killed dozens of residents and caused widespread devastation across Jamaica, Haiti, and now Cuba — now on its way to the Bahamas.

Hurricane Melissa downgraded to Category 3, set to hit Cuba next

Despite weakening from a Category 5 hurricane to a Category 3, Hurricane Melissa is still poised to unleash catastrophic rain and winds on Cuba as it continues its deadly path.
