U.S. Rep. Debbie Lasko (R-Ariz.) criticized Joe Biden for allowing gas prices to reach record highs. On Friday, the Arizona Republican noted the average gas price currently stands at $3.44 a gallon, which is the highest since 2014 when Barack Obama was president.
Economist Stephen Moore said Democrats can’t pull their own party together long enough to pass their own agenda. During an interview on Sunday, Moore said Democrats have put themselves in “circular firing squads” and added it was funny to witness as a Republican himself.
Joe Biden signed the stopgap bill, in turn, avoiding a government shutdown. The legislation reached Biden’s desk just hours before the shutdown deadline Thursday night. Government programs and agencies will now be funded through December 3.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is advancing his “energy diplomacy” into Turkey as natural gas prices are hitting their new record highs. He hosted his Turkish counterpart, Tayyip Erdogan, in the city of Sochi in Southern Russia on Wednesday to discuss the matters.
