Biden announces increase of US forces in Europe

President Joe Biden announced the US is ramping up forces in Europe amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. During a meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Spain Wednesday, he said the US is enhancing its “forced posture” in Europe.

NATO formally invites Finland, Sweden

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced the alliance has formally invited Finland and Sweden to join. During a press conference in Spain Wednesday, he thanked both countries and Turkey for coming to an agreement to pave the way for the move.

Biden meets with NATO Chief, NSA Sullivan at White House

President Joe Biden and his National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan met with NATO Chief Jens Stoltenberg to discuss the Ukraine crisis. The three officials met Thursday at the White House, to discuss the bids by Sweden and Finland to join NATO amid opposition by Turkey.
