The Trump administration froze immigration applications from 19 countries considered high risk to national security, following the shooting of two National Guard members in Washington, D.C., accused of being carried out by an Afghan national.

Hurricane Melissa kills dozens in Haiti and Jamaica, strikes Cuba as it heads toward the Bahamas

As of Wednesday, Hurricane Melissa has killed dozens of residents and caused widespread devastation across Jamaica, Haiti, and now Cuba — now on its way to the Bahamas.

Hurricane Melissa downgraded to Category 3, set to hit Cuba next

Despite weakening from a Category 5 hurricane to a Category 3, Hurricane Melissa is still poised to unleash catastrophic rain and winds on Cuba as it continues its deadly path.
