Pope Leo XIV Previously Criticized Trump’s Deportation Policies, While ‘Damning Allegations’ Of Abuse Resurface

Pope Leo XIV, who was elected to his role on Thursday in Vatican City, has frequently criticized President Donald Trump’s mass deportation policies in the past year — while promoting much harsher gun control laws.

Vatican Sets May 7 Date For Conclave To Elect New Pope

On Monday, Catholic Cardinals announced that the conclave to elect Pope Francis’ successor will commence on May 7th, postponing the start of voting by two days to allow for extended discussions regarding the merits of potential candidates.

Vatican: Pope Francis Dead At 88

Pope Francis, who was considered a reformer that altered the Catholic Church’s traditional views and inspired progressives, has died at the age of 88, the Vatican announced Monday.
